With great excitement, I’m please to give this brief update on our activities here in Brazil. Approaching our 7th anniversary of ministry in Brazil, God has suddenly accelerated our efforts, bringing us closer to our goal in establishing a PAWI work here in Brazil.
While maintaining a very good working relationship with the AOG Brazil and continue giving leadership to the Vila Nova work (the first work we started), we are now please to announce the launch of The Pentecostal Assembly of the West Indies International Brazil.
After maneuvering many obstacles, we finally had our first official PAWIB service last Friday in our newly acquired building. After one month of evangelistic meetings in the area, in the form of English Classes, we invited the students to participate in an English Worship Service. Students invited friends and family giving us an attendance of over 50 people. A few of the brethren from Vila Nova participated by sharing testimonies and doing special songs and music.
Our strategy is to continue having weekly English classes with a monthly evangelistic Service until we can start weekly Worship Services. This will make it our second work started here in Brazil. The first was in partnership with the AOG Brazil and will continue that way. However, this second work is 100% PAWI, with our own facility, equipments and personnel.
We encountered several complications like putting together an English speaking committee, working with adverse financial difficulties and the very challenging task of writing a Portuguese version of our constitution. However, what we were able to accomplish thus far is nothing short of a miracle.
We ask your continue prayer and financial support as we seek to fulfill our God given mandate as the church of Jesus Christ.
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have showed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: Heb 6:10, 11
